How is a lip flip different from lip filler?
A lip flip uses a small amount of Botox injected along the upper lip border to gently relax the muscle and allow the lip to roll slightly outward — giving the appearance of a fuller upper lip without adding volume. Lip filler, by contrast, uses hyaluronic acid to physically add volume and shape. The lip flip is ideal for subtle enhancement, while fillers are better for more dramatic or lasting results. How long does a Botox lip flip last?
A lip flip typically lasts 6 to 8 weeks — shorter than most other Botox treatments because the orbicularis oris muscle around the mouth moves frequently.
